Not in my time. Very few healers that are pretty females. Most are men and very old women. Imagine my excitement when I learned such lovely nurses existed.
[ Technically he knew her, but that was awkward and one time. ]
It very well could be. I'm sure they've got a diner here. I've yet to check, but I can't imagine why not.
✔ i'm prone to getting into spats where bullet wounds may be a thing. also fond of diner food. we should grab a burger and maybe leave the medical care to another time.
Do you like nursing? I went to school and got my CNA, but I just never actually went into the field. I've always secretly wondered if I made the right call.
if you're unsure about it, that might actually be very telling. I love this job, but I know it's definitely not for everyone. What made you want to go into nursing?
It's less that I was unsure about it (or am) and more that a job I really enjoy just sort of fell in my lap before I could find a job in my field of study. I just wonder whether I should've kept trying to find something in nursing after I got the PA job, is all.
My dad's a surgeon and I always thought that was cool, except that doctors and surgeons have to be so impersonal and clinical and I didn't like that part. I figured nursing was the best of both worlds. Plus nurses are better anyway :P
I think if you're loving what you currently do, giving it up to go back to what you studied would be a mistake. If, at some point, you stop loving it, then you can always go back to studying, freshen up your skills, and look for a nursing job.
But if you love what you're doing right now, then why change, you know?
Yeah that's a good point. I do love what I do and the people I work with, I just always wonder if I'm missing something by having taken a different path, I guess. I'm sure nursing is not as glamorous, or well-paying as what I do, but what I do is almost definitely far less rewarding, so it's a toss up.

I've known a nurse or two.
[ Hilariously enough her name is Claire as well. Though significantly different time periods. ]
I've grown quite fond of diner food in my time as well.

I tend to think most people have known a nurse or two
[ Of course, it depends on what he means by 'known'. ]
I can't quite decide if this is an invitation?

[ Because she doesn't really want to talk about his excitement. Not just yet, anyway. Let's wait and see. ]
there is one, for sure. I might be considering marrying it, so I never have to leave it.

[ It wasn't his thing. ]
And before you say the Enchanted Forest isn't real let me assure you it very much is.

At least, it seems like you'd have to try very hard to get shot in Cadelle. What are the spats usually about that they end in bullet holes?
I guess you could tell me about it over this burger you mentioned.

I thought vampires only ate - liquids
(you'll have to excuse me, I didn't think vampires were real until right now.)

But what's the point of immortality if I don't get to enjoy a greasy burger every once in a while?

May I ask - no offense meant - how old you are?

You may. I'm 335.

oh, you speak my language. I get off the night shift at 6.30am, so I don't usually have anyone around wanting to have breakfast with me.
